A Bagel-Baking, Cocktail-Making Kind of Afternoon
Who knew it took so ridiculously long to make bagels?! In preparation for my bagel shop, Shannon and I had a go at making some downright delicious sesame sandwiches. Sometimes, even if it’s the middle of the afternoon, when you have to wait for dough to rise twice, you just need to reward yourself with a bloody mary for being so damn patient. Was it worth it? Oh HELL yes.

Written down or subconsciously noted, everyone has a “things to do before you die list.” Before owning a hotel but after traveling to Africa, I really want to open a bagel shop.
This dream has been lingering since a spring break trip that concluded in Amsterdam. Now, Amsterdam is known for ironically named “coffee shops,” Van Gogh art, and Anne Frank’s hiding place...

I saw an article, via (@dayn), this morning about Starbuck’s new Digital Network. But, HEY STARBUCKS! I’m confused. Why would I want to use this when I can just google my worries away?

Tough Choice Coming to Starbucks: Wine or Latte? →
It’s really interesting the SBUX is going this way- When I was in PDX this was a standard for coffee shops. From Stumptown Coffee Roasters to Lloyd’s, everyone had beer. Time will tell if the east coast can handle it.
Are we’re moving towards Amsterdam-style coffee shops?
